Where people are together in groups or teams, there is a chance for conflicts to occur. Sometimes it is impossible for the group to resolve the issues on their own, for example when various members of the group have become too much (emotionally) part of the conflict and they cannot change their perspective. In that case, it is impossible to resolve the conflict on its own.
Group conflicts have their own dynamics. On the one hand, they are more complex than one-to-one conflicts because there are many more different interactions and interests. On the other hand, conflicts in groups often have a shorter duration, so malfunctioning patterns are not yet as ingrained and group members may be less personally emotionally involved.
I approach group conflicts as a combination of mediation and teamcoaching, depending on the needs of the team.
